Dataverse talk accepted at FOSDEM 2020
- 1 minute readThe talk I submitted to FOSDEM, “Advancing science with Dataverse: Publication, discovery, citation, and exploration of research data,” has been accepted! I also have a speaker page. I'm waiting until I finish coordinating a “fringe” event before I follow up on the FOSDEM 2020 in Brussels Feb 1-2 to announce both (and tweet about it) but I'm very excited. This will be my first trip to Belgium and my first time attending FOSDEM.
Update: As I mentioned on the Dataverse mailing list, I'm working on my slides and feedback is welcome!
Update: The State Archives of Belgium are hosting a FOSDEM fringe event about Dataverse! The announcement reads,
“This fringe meeting is an opportunity to share experiences with Dataverse and promote networking among Dataverse users in Europe and beyond. We are proud to announce that one of the Dataverse developers, Philip Durbin from Harvard University, will be among us!”
I couldn't resist emailing and tweeting about it.
